BOSTON, Sept. 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Veggie Patch, a leading brand of delicious and healthy vegetable-based snacks and entrees, has teamed up with notable vegetarian chef Cindi Avila to serve as the brand spokesperson for ongoing public relations and social media efforts.
Avila’s knowledge and know-how in the kitchen will be beneficial to Veggie Patch as the brand continues to focus on introducing consumers to its tasty line of healthy vegetable snacks and entrees. Additionally, her experience in front of the camera, which includes appearances on the Food Network’s Chopped and winning TLC’s competition series Dinner Takes All, along with related on-camera brand work, makes her the perfect pick to help grow Veggie Patch’s awareness.
“Veggie Patch is a natural fit for me,” said vegetarian chef and spokesperson Cindi Avila. “It’s a brand I personally serve my family and enjoy. I’m excited to share my love for it with others. Today’s consumer is clearly interested in eating healthier and incorporating more vegetables into their diets, so the time is certainly ripe for introducing Veggie Patch to the world.”
This marks the first time Veggie Patch has engaged a spokesperson for its brand.
“Veggie Patch brand awareness is growing as more consumers actively seek out ways to add vegetables to their diet. Cindi’s expertise and passion for healthy cooking will help ensure Veggie Patch stands out,” stated Adam Carr, CEO of Tribe Mediterranean Foods, the maker of Veggie Patch. “She’s a skilled and poised chef who knows her way around the kitchen and a television studio – she literally brings everything to the table.”
The past few months have been a fruitful period for Veggie Patch as it has also introduced two new products, Moroccan Red Lentil Cakes and Roasted Red Pepper Falafel, to its delicious portfolio of vegetables and meatless products. Additionally, it has updated its logo and packaging imagery, as well as overhauled its social media platforms.
