I’m was excited to be asked to judge the NYC stop of the Top Chef tour this Saturday. I’m judging a competition between Top Chef contestants Angelo Sosa (season 7) and Nikki Cascone (season 4). The competition takes place from noon to 1p at Gansevoort Plaza. That’s Little West 12th and 9th Avenue in the Meatpacking District.
According to the media release: The “Top Chef: The Tour” is a nationwide 20-city promotional tour featuring Bravo’s customized “Top Chef” 18-wheeler semi-truck. This year’s tour features a live interactive show-down between two former chef’testants. Chef’testants will compete in front of “Top Chef” fans with a panel of local judges, and audience members at Gansevoort Plaza. The fourth annual highly-anticipated ‘Top Chef: The Tour,’ brings fans and viewers to the next level – creating an interactive experience where they can physically taste, connect and learn more about the show they’re passionate about. Visitors of the tour can meet and greet with “Top Chef” talent, sample food tastings, receive gourmet cooking tips, hear “Top Chef” show “secrets,” get chef’testant autographs, and participate in a variety of on-site “Top Chef” activities, including a chance to win prizes in an affiliate-sponsored challenge, presented locally by Time Warner Cable.
