Starbucks – Stop Charging for Soy Milk

You guys know that, while I am a vegetarian, I usually try not to be preachy. I do, however, like to be treated equally. Just because I don’t drink cow’s milk doesn’t mean I should pay more for an equal type of product. For years Starbucks has charged extra for soy milk in their prepared drinks (everywhere else I frequent offers soy or even almond milk gratis). As you’ll see below today was the final straw for me. I just have to take a stand! I hope you’ll do the same and sign this petition I created. I will take it to Starbucks executives when I reach my goal. Because of my profession I know how to reach those who matter!!! Here’s the petition and what I wrote on it:

Starbucks announced today that they are “saying goodbye to the free soy…rewards”. It was something offered to those who were members of the My Starbucks Rewards card.

It’s always bothered me that soy milk wasn’t free to everyone who ordered a beverage prepared by the baristas. To even call it a reward was ridiculous. That said since I was a rewards card member I didn’t make a big stink about it before. If I didn’t have my card with me I would just avoid Starbucks. I just didn’t feel it was right to have to pay extra merely because I don’t drink dairy milk. With that said I have now realized it’s time for those of who drink soy milk to put our foot down. We can’t be discriminated against any longer.

If you agree that soy milk shouldn’t cost more than cow’s milk please sign this petition and pass it onto others! Counting on my fellow vegetarians/vegans and that who are lactose-intolerant to really champion this!

One Response to Starbucks – Stop Charging for Soy Milk

  1. I think this is horrible. I’m allergic to dairy so I cannot simply choose to have regular milk. I thought it was horrible when they got rid of silk for their brand which has a strange taste in my opinion but it was ok in most of my favorite drinks but this is the last straw. Thank you for this petition.
